We have a client we’re doing a complete customer evaluation for. He’s smart, decisive, and kind (mostly). As the CEO of a large company he recently emailed this quote to everyone in the marketing team who’d been spending way too much time arguing about their group’s 2014 ad campaign. Big budget, hard decisions. Some wanted to be aggressive and modern, others wanted to be cautious, state the company’s old fashioned virtues.

Unfortunate Empress that I am,
I write on the susceptible skins
of living beings.
–Catherine the Great
No one wants to get written on. There are less meetings. Decisions have been made. The ball’s moving forward.
He isn’t an Empress; still pretty Great.
